Older Scouts who also meet or exceed the expectations of the Troop Committee have the opportunity to attend either National or World Jamborees.

National Scout Jamboree
The National Scout Jamboree is held every four years and brings together tens of thousands of Scouts from across the United States for an unforgettable week of adventure, learning, and fellowship.
Jamboree Activities Include:
- High adventure activities (zip lines, climbing, mountain biking)
- STEM and innovation programs
- Cultural exchanges
- Action sports
- Arena shows and entertainment
- Meeting Scouts from all 50 states

World Scout Jamboree
The World Scout Jamboree brings together Scouts from around the globe, offering an unparalleled opportunity for international friendship and cultural exchange.

National Jamboree 2013
Troop 31 participated in the 2013 National Scout Jamboree, which marked the inaugural event at The Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve in West Virginia. Our scouts had an incredible experience participating in the many activities and programs offered.
Jamboree Preparation:
- Scouts must meet age and rank requirements
- Physical fitness is important
- Fundraising participation is expected
- Special training sessions are conducted before the event
- Troop contingent bonds as a unit before departure
Selection Process
Due to the limited number of spots available, scouts are selected based on:
- Active participation in the troop
- Leadership and maturity
- Advancement progress
- Participation in fundraising
- Meeting age requirements
