Camp Sign-up Information
Thank you for your interest in Troop 31's camping program! This page provides information about signing up for our various camping activities.
Monthly Campouts
Information about upcoming monthly campouts is shared at troop meetings and through email communications. Sign-up sheets are typically available two weeks before each campout.
How to Sign Up:
- Sign-up sheets are available at troop meetings
- Email confirmations will be sent after sign-up
- Payment is typically due one week before the campout
- Permission slips must be signed and returned
Summer Camp at Massawepie
Sign-up for Massawepie Summer Camp typically begins in February. Forms will be posted and distributed at troop meetings.
Summer Camp Sign-up Process:
- Complete the camp interest form (available in February)
- Submit initial deposit
- Complete medical forms (due by specified deadline)
- Attend pre-camp meeting (typically in June)
- Submit final payment
Summer Camp Funding: Summer Camp funding is available to all scouts who have participated in the Tree Sale. Full participation in the tree sale can subsidize nearly the entire cost of summer camp!
High Adventure Sign-up
High Adventure trips require advance planning, often 12-18 months ahead. If you're interested in Philmont, Sea Base, Northern Tier, or other high adventure opportunities, please contact the Camping ASM as early as possible.

What to Bring
A packing list will be provided for each camping trip. Generally, scouts should bring:
- Sleeping bag
- Appropriate clothing for the weather
- Rain gear
- Water bottle
- Personal items (toothbrush, etc.)
- Scout Handbook
- Flashlight
Remember: The troop provides tents, cooking gear, and food for all campouts. Scouts just need to bring their personal gear.
